Wroughton Floral Art Society, affiliated to South West area of NAFAS, is a flourishing group of flower lovers who meet on the second tuesday of every month, (except August, first tuesday), at the Chruch Hall, Priors Hill, WROUGHTON SN4 0RT.
Members range from complete beginners to those who have years of experience and expertise, but ALL are welcome whatever your level of flower arranging skill. We are a friendly bunch of ladies ( and a gent!!) who love flowers, floral art, and socialising.
We have a varied programme including demonstrations, when expert flower arrangers from around the country visit to show their floral art and to entertain us for up to 2 hours; talks on floral or garden related topics and three times a year we have a practical evening when a one of our more experienced members passes on their skills to us, and after a short lesson many members will get hands on, with their completed arrangements being judged. These sessions are for ALL and are judged as either NOVICES, INTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED.
The June and December meetings are held at the Ellendune Hall for which tickets are sold to the public and to members. These "open meetings" are more spectacular than the norm especially the Christmas themed December demonstration, which is always sold out.
We also have a junior section, for those aged 7 to 17 years old, that meets four times a year for hands on floral art.
